Our first visit to The Haywain and we are very much looking forward to the next one. We appreciated the warm welcome to an old world country pub. Cosy and relaxing. We tried the tempura prawns starter and lightly breaded whitebait which were both tasty and well presented. Our main courses of paella and duck breast were perfect. The trip to The Haywain was totally worthwhile. I called ahead and made a reservation but when I arrived there was plently of space. Do check their webpage as it is not open every day. On their website there was a pretty good variety and on getting there, were some more specials to choose from. Price wise it is excellent, I got 2 courses for £18.00. Visited a couple of times now including Sunday lunch. Lovely home prepared food on a proper pub setting that is getting taste to find these days. Very pleasant hosts and thoroughly recommend.
