Were staying nearby for a weekend for my partners birthday and came here for dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant is spacious and seems popular to families as well as couples. Definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is a family run business which (some years ago) was known as Martin's and had a good reputation then.It's still run by the same husband and wife team with more of a work/life balance reducing opening hours and menu options but that doesn't detract from the options on offer.We were a party of four and all had a lovely meal which was well cooked and enjoyed by everyone. The service was friendly and nothing was too much trouble and ultimately the prices were very reasonable for the quality received.Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a lovely meal here while meeting old friends nearby. We had the burgers, lamb, fish and chips (substituted the chips for mash), prawns and scotch eggs/soup to start. The burgers were absolutely perfect, tasty, flavourful and well garnished, and reports from our dinner partners was that the fish was the best they'd had on their visit (don't live in UK). The staff were wonderful. Polite, attentive, friendly, and accommodating, - opening a window for us as it got quite warm. Everything was perfect and It was a lovely experience. I wish we were local to go back! Thank you for a lovely evening :)
We had a lovely anniversary meal here. The restaurant looks lovely inside, really cosy. The staff were great. We had champagne which was really nice. We both has the fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly and really yummy. Will be

Visited on a quiet weekday evening for a couples birthday meal. Cute little village Parked right outside. Service was excellent lovely and polite staff genuinely friendly. Food felt very homemade and fresh exactly what we was looking for not chain restaurant feeling at all. Will visit again.

Thought we'd try this restaurant as we were staying close by. What a wonderful place. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were just delightful ?.We had the steak pie and the lamb which was absolutely delicious.Followed by kentish gypsy tart. Had one each but we should have shared just one.Too much for me but was really nice with loads of fresh cream.Will come again and try the steak.

This is a long awaited review! I visited here a long while ago with my boyfriend and family and I just haven’t stopped thinking about it. We travelled up here from strood as a special visit as we saw the place on google come up as one of the best restaurants near me. So we made the trip and it was more than worth it. The food was incredible, it was so hot and tasty I would honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever had! The restaurant is also so beautiful and has a lovely feel to it, and the staff make this even better they are so kind and welcoming and provide great service, I definitely will make a point if coming back here when I can as it lived up to beyond my expectations.I have to add in, the scotch egg was unbelievable, although I didn’t take a second to photograph it, it wad the best scotch egg I have ever tasted, I 100% recommend it!
