We had a lovely meal here while meeting old friends nearby. We had the burgers, lamb, fish and chips (substituted the chips for mash), prawns and scotch eggs/soup to start. The burgers were absolutely perfect, tasty, flavourful and well garnished, and reports from our dinner partners was that the fish was the best they'd had on their visit (don't live in UK). Were staying nearby for a weekend for my partners birthday and came here for dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant is spacious and seems popular to families as well as couples. Definitely worth a visit.
