food was reasonably priced and tasted nice apart from the tomato sauce was on rations, atmosphere was off putting and wasn’t very welcoming from the lady.

The best breakfast in town! If you’re looking for a good quality full English breakfast, this is the place. Also great tea!

An excellent little cafe / sandwich shop selling tasty food in decent portions at sensible prices.Ignore the moody 1* review. Imagine being so desperate for a smile you’d dismiss everything else about a place, including the food which is surely the most important thing. If you want inane robotic smiles there’s a McDonalds up in town.

After walking into Sandgate from Folkestone we stumbled upon The Savoury Slice. I ordered a full English breakfast and a cup of tea. It was the best fry up I have ever eaten! All freshly cooked while we sat on the stools that were placed in the cafe window so we could people watch while waiting. I highly recommend this little gem, simple food but cooked amazingly well and the lady who owned the shop was so friendly. Will definitely be going back again!

Freshly cooked bacon.. not thin cheap stuff. Soft rolls. Done while you wait so don't expect instant pre done. Coffee nice strength but not bitter. Excellent value roll and coffee £3.

Accidentally stumbled on this place trying to avoid the lorry queues around the M20. Two large teas, a tasty bacon roll and a yummy bacon and egg roll - less than £8. Ruth the owner was a great lady and very friendly. Worth the effort and we’ll definitely go there again.

Bacon roll and a ground coffee £3 what more do you need on holiday to start the day. Great value and tasted great too. I'd recommend if you like straight forward food (not saying it's nothing special) but it suited me.

If I fancy a good bacon roll or sandwich, this is the place I prefer to go to. No ridiculous overpricing here, just good food. Never had any had experiences on my visits here, alone or with friends. For that 1 negative review just because the owner wasn't smiling, how about you engage in a conversation, or maybe think she was having a had day (everybody has them,) maybe it was your demeanor. I get it's not all about the food, but it is the main reason, and at worst, if that was your only gripe, just knock off 1 or 2 stars, jeez.
