I highly recommend this welcoming pub. Got caught in the unseasonal weather today and hoped to get lunch and dry off having seen good reviews. Ordered a drink and when I asked about food was told they were fully booked. However the barman then said if I was on my own he'd fit me in if I could be patient. My in-laws celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary at The Providence Inn tonight with myself and my wife. The pub/restaurant had bags of character with comfortable chairs and large tables. There was a varied menu with a specials board and the food was first class, partulicularly the mussels in the seafood linguini. Everything here is done with pride and great care. Great service, fantastic high quality seafood. All dishes perfect. Also good ales on tap. Worth skipping the sea view for a meal here by miles!!
