Vee old pub. Very local, separate room for seating, huge open log fire, dogs welcome. Bootiful strong cask ale. Landlord was kept on his feet. Honest locals house. NO music, NO gambling machines-bliss. Christmas eve, 2023...spot
This is a real oddity. Looks like a rather dishevelled house (let alone old house) on the outside and the inside is not dissimilar.It's almost like the pub was abandoned 50 years and then restarted recently without any decorating or modernisation. This is not a criticism at all.A great range of cask ales on offer, four or five and I plumped for a couple Hopheads. Lovely little pub out in the sticks. Great cask selection, lager available (although the landlord will criticise you for ordering one), no music, screens or anything to make you question that this isn’t a real pub. Just good vibes and a very comical landlord. I will visit as often as I can.
