This place really deserves the name "hidden gem" (although it's on a main road).We've had the vegan Sunday roast now a number of times and also taken friends and family who've had the non-vegan roast. Both are fantastic - great portion sizes, freshly cooked veg (not been hanging around in a bain Marie for ages), vegan option has always been different and delicious. Great pub that's in town but when you step inside you could be anywhere. Surprisingly large beer garden which is really well presented. Normally two cask beers on, one of which is brewed specifically for the pub (Gemstone Ales). Well worth a visit!

What a fantastic little pub, Val the landlady is a sweetheart and the staff are brilliant too, the beer is always great tasting and you can tell they take good care of the beer lines. I had a roast dinner here today and it was absolutely top draw, would highly recommend to any one to give the pub a try ?
