As always as you open the door you're greeted by a smile and "hello, what can I get you?" Then the smell from the kitchen entices you to order food and it's delicious! Had lunch today been several times now since new chef started and haven't been disappointed at all! It's fresh tasty and best of all being gluten free the menu is easy to see what I can and can't eat ... the fish and chips are a firm favourite and the mussels are to die for! A lovely local pub where the owners know everyone from the village. Our AirBNB host said the food hadn't been fantastic previously but they had a new chef and they were eager to find out how it was.We were greeted with smiles, a local man struck up conversation around the one cask ale they had on tap which I ordered, this was a dark ambered local bitter which was delicious. Lovely little quaint pub with lovely staff. Great atmosphere. Have a pool table and dart board in there with a nice little smoking area. Price of drinks are on par with most pubs nowadays. Will definitely visit again.
