I bought cod and chips from the Gordon chippy and ate them from a box, on a bench in the grassy area opposite the little shop. Had to wait, so they were piping hot. I really enjoyed them. At first, I thought the chips looked grotty--but it was only because they were browned. But chips don't have to be golden, and they had fresh white potato inside and lots of flavour. I had a cod which was packed in a box and along with spoon and folk, so it's easy for me to finish it on the chair next to Cathedral which opposite the shop. The fish is good and the staff is friendly. I've attached the photos I've taken today.(include the latest menu) 25/Jul/2023

Chips are to greasy and some of them were not fully cooked. Fish is ok but not even closely what you expect when you order fish and chips. Sauce is not included and you have to pay extra to get it. Not the worst if someone would ask if you want some sauce, so as someone who eats here for the first time it's extremely stupid? Yeah that should be the right word. Well have a nice day.
