“Many thanks to the very kind lady who helped fill our water bottles ?today (2023-08-19) - I didn’t get a chance to have a drink ? there as I was only cycling through Rochester on a hot sunny ☀️ day and still got many kilometres to go. She was so thoughtful to even offer ice when I asked if she would give us some water. Really refreshing, very much appreciated. I’d definitely have grabbed a drink there if I wasn’t gonna be on the road again so quickly. Hopefully next time when I go past it! ??☺️”

“Great pub near the Vines in Rochester. Dog friendly, we visited with 3! Beth called to confirm my booking and even offered us a table in the garden as the weather was nice today. Food was delicious, the pizzas were perfect! Beth was on the bar, and we got there as it was getting busy but she was an absolute superstar! Beth deserves an award for how cool and calm she was on her own when everyone came to the bar! Legend. Thank you for a lovely afternoon, everyone had a great time- even the dogs!”

“We went for an anniversary meal and I took my husband here mainly due to a friend recommending the steak! Lovely pub situated in a scenic area! I would say it’s better to park a bit down the road from the pub if you do struggle to get your car in their car park!My husband went for a fillet with garlic butter and said that it was the best steak he has ever had! The triple cooked chips were a let down.We also indulged in the desserts which were amazing. I had the peanut parfait and my husband had the affogato which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The presentation of the desserts were great. We would definitely come back.”

“Sunday roast for the four of us ..excellent roast beef, tastt turkey and pork belly with crackling- just wonderful. As my father-in-law said he was " impressed with the generosity of the vegetables"...and he wasn't wrong,! Such great value and such a consistently high standard. A great Sunday lunch!”

“Love this place, it's a staple of my pub crawls in Rochester. Fantastic selection of ales and ciders at some really good prices. Staff are great and the basement is wonderful with games, darts and a keyboard. I hope this place stays open forever”
