A traditional pub in Rochester Kent. Split on two levels with a pool table in the top section. They have a jukebox and often have local live bands. There is a courtyard at the rear where smoking is allowed.There is a good selection of beers , wines and spirits plus they do coffees, cappuccino, latte etc.Prices are a little lower than some other pubs in the area. We saw two bands here on the 30th Sept. There was a good range of beers and spirits and we were served quickly. Only niggle was the amount of loud talking when the bands were playing made it difficult to hear. Good pub, but not good for bands.
Many thanks to the very kind lady who helped fill our water bottles ?today (2023-08-19) - I didn’t get a chance to have a drink ? there as I was only cycling through Rochester on a hot sunny ☀️ day and still got many kilometres to go. She was so thoughtful to even offer ice when I asked if she would give us some water. Really refreshing, very much appreciated. I’d definitely have grabbed a drink there if I wasn’t gonna be on the road again so quickly. Hopefully next...read full review
