47 Swan St, West MallingExcellent food, excellent service, one of the best high cuisine restaurants I have been to. Great wine list, cocktails, and selection of beers. Their dishes were beautifully presented and very flavorful. Definitely recommend this place. Reservations are needed and must pre-order your choices several days in advance.

29 Hayes St, Hayes, BromleyThe food and service were spot on. I had to give 4 stars as when I went to order a coffee I was told there was no oat milk and no other milk alternatives. Being lactose intolerant in this day and age isn’t really an issue anymore, however this establishment hasn’t had any milk alternatives on both my latest visits! Come on George Pub…. Do better, it’s 2025!

35 Swan St, West MallingWow!! First time visiting tonight. The guy who looked after us (sorry can’t remember his name, wore a suit) was exceptional. All the staff were so friendly. The food…. Amazing. We had the soup and king prawns to start, sharing fillet steak. All the food was amazing. Great wine choices and the atmosphere was great. What a treat, will be returning again soon

Bowleys At The Plough
Taylors Ln, Trottiscliffe, West MallingJust taken my wife for her birthday. We had the 12 course meal. It was absolutely fantastic food and fantastic service. It was a lovely touch having the kitchen staff come to the table and explain what was in the plate. The staff very young but absolutely perfect in every way. Thank you so much for the experience we will be back.

The staff were so professional, friendly, and attentive, making us feel really welcome. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Taylors Ln, Trottiscliffe, West MallingSo having lived in or around d the area for years The George had always been pushed as a local pub for local people so I never went in. Until tonight half expecting to see Edward and Stubbs behind the bar and in fear of my life I walked into a very pleasant relaxed place. I was served by a lovely young lady who I think may have only been working there a short while but here smile and confidence puts that aside, after all we have to start somewhere. It’s a young team behind the bar but they work incredibly well together and service is slick and quick. I stayed for one extra pint and have to say it’s a blooming lovely place to be

The George, 55 Great Portland St, LondonI literally think this must be the best pub in London, all round pub that is. The staff and especially management are absolutely 10/10. It merges the best of old school London pubs with modern pubs. Beautiful design, fantastic food and well looked after beer. Have never had a bad experience.

High St, West MallingOverall really lovely meal had here. It started off confusing, as to enter the restaurant there are multiple rooms you can go into and no staff to greet you at the door. We made our way to the bar and were looking for someone to seat us as we had made a reservation but staff behind the bar avoided eye contact until a manager came out which was a bit strange. Once seated, the server forgot about us and we had to ask if we could order after waiting for about 15 mins to order a drink. Our server did apologise and was really friendly afterwards. The food was brilliant and huge portions. Overall not a bad experience - maybe the staff were just having an off day. We will definitely give it another go.

One of the best pub/resaurants around.
A little bit awkward leaving the car park onto a busy main road so care is required.

The old Rectory, Oxley Shaw Ln, Leybourne, West MallingWe booked in as a group of over 20 for my sons birthday meal and we had great service from booking too on the night. Melanie who served us and dealt with all requests on the night was absolutely fantastic, she was so friendly and polite and made us feel so welcome.

When I am in the uk I love to come to this fantastic place , the owners manta and bill are super friendly and the food is amazing !!
I always get the same dish , sweet and sour beef or a beef Penang , or chicken satay or the sweet sour potatoes
The food here can’t ever ever be replicated , I’ve tried many Thai places all around the world and keep saying , it’s never as good as pad thai west malling
I can’t wait to return
Definitely worth the wait and the prices are good , you get quality amazing food , it’s more of a boutique establishment

Great choice real ales, lagers and ciders. Open all day Thursdays through Sundays. Mondays to Wednesdays opens 4pm. Excellent brunch style menu at reasonable prices. At moment food available all day Thursday/Friday & on Saturday 5-9pm. Hopefully they will extend to all day Saturdays at sometime & maybe bring back Sunday food which they did at one time.

Franks Restaurant and Mussel Bar
High St, West MallingWe came here because of its reputation with mussels. We weren’t disappointed overall. The mussels are so plump, juicy and plentiful. We had 4 different sauces, but the photos ended up all looking the same! What I liked was the sauce was full of herbs and finely chopped vegetables, really generous. The sauces were pretty good, but there are too many to choose from.
The scallop starter was really tasty and soft, with a beautiful tasting sauce. The fried whitebait was also good. The squid was a little on the overcooked side, but entirely satisfactory.
The desserts, apart from the creme brûlée (which was as you would want it, crispy top and really smooth vanilla custard) were underwhelming. The pancakes were cold (not sure why) and the raspberry tart tasted overly sweet and just not very nice, with less than mediocre pastry.
You can’t go wrong with the seafood.

2 Little E, East Malling, West MallingAn impromptu visit recently with my children but was unknowingly in the window between breakfast & lunch. The server was very helpful and made me a ham salad sandwich as after the walk from East Malling I didnt have much time.
The Fresh loaves of bread on sale were great value & the selection of cakes very tempting
Would recommend better signage on foot as I walked the whole way round following the road signs not realising it was in the middle of the buildings

The Bull Inn
1 High St, West MallingGreat pub, located in beautiful West Malling.
Beatiiful old building, the bar area has old wooden beams and a largel fire place.
The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, the regulars all friendly and polite.
The barman greeted us with a warm and friendly manner, kindly explaining the ales on selection (The bar has a great range of ales and beers) and allowing a taste before choosing.
Nothing was too much trouble when explaining the menu.
We made our way to the restaurant area which was modenised in a typical country pub style.
We ordered starters which were generous in portions and worth the price.
I asked for the Sunday roast beef, which I recommend.
The giant yorkshire pudding was cooked light, fluffy and crunchy with lots of flavour.
The veg cooked perfectly, not to soft or al dente and just the right ammount.
The roast tattees where full of flavour, crunchy and definitely not reheated, (As some pubs do ending up with that reheated texture / flavour)
The servings of beef were incredibly generous, unlike most pubs I've gone to for a Sunday roast usually serve 3 slices of thinly cut beef, I was happy to see 7 slices, non of which had any grissle or fat.
Served with a large boat of hot non lumpy gravy.
-Atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed
- Staff are friendly, welcoming and professional
- The food was spot on, warm homely pub grub
- Facilities are clean and fresh, I always say the cleanliness oc the loo's / facilities is a reflection of the kitchen.
- Cost was spot on for the qaulityand portion size
We would definitely recommend and visit again.

I still have not found another pub that keeps the Harveys Best bitter so well - if you still need convincing to come here they have an outstanding chef who has converted me to pies amongst many other things. The landlord and team behind the bar are relaxed and welcoming. They always have fires in the winter. I cannot think of a better pub if I’m honest.
