It's a mixed bag.. Had the Cheapy Tues deal which is great value.However, I was between the yes/no on the recommended.. the fish was lovely but the chips were half a box of scraps that we couldn't eat, the other half were somewhat dried up.. Surely a good fryer can tell when it's time to cook some fresh and bin the rubish. 3.5 out of 5 this time.. Usual a good 4.5.. Need some quality control. Had a really delicious small fish meal delivered today. It came with plenty of chips, a large tubs of peas and a soft drink. The batter was crispy and delicious and the chips golden. It was more than enough, excellent value. It was delivered right on time and piping hot. Top service, great product!,
It some of the characteristics of an old chip shop, as we used to have in abundance in Oldham, where I was born. Now they are like hen's teeth or rocking horse poo. Now they treat you like a "revenue source" and not a customer. This one is different. One feels welcome. A restricted menu, no kebabs and other delicacies of the modern age.
