I was visiting from Lincolnshire and the staff and customers were very friendly, we had a drink in the bar then moved to the dining area for the food. I had the haddock with cream cheese etc and it was absolutely delicious, my partner had a pie which was equally delicious. This is the best food I’d ever had in a local pub. The crispy chilli beef and chicken & ham hock pie were so good. My grandma had the childrens fish and said it was the vest fish she had in a long time.Recommend this place for sure.
We booked for lunch but as the restaurant was fully booked, we were offered the option to dine in the Tap Room, which we did, the room is nothing special but the staff and food more than made up for it. We all had the set Xmas Menu which was very tasty and good value for money. Very reasonably priced wine by the bottle. All in all a good time was had by all
