Hugo's Cafe Bar
Burscough Wharf, Smithy Walk, OrmskirkThe food was absolutely lovely but they let themselves down with the hot drinks served them upon ordering but the food took a good while and the teapots aren't filled fully so we asked for some hot water . But having said that the staff are very nice and I would still recommend giving ? them a try thoroughly enjoyed and a very pleasant hour spent

Bought tickets online to takes my friends 5 and 6 year old for the day, I dodntr really know what to expect bit it was brilliant. The kids loved it.
I play areas both with wetplay areas in them, plenty of seats for adults around too so we can watch them play.
We watched the moth release which was really interesting to learn about, spent time pond dipping with netsand trays provided, looked at all the different birds, read some of yhe information boards and went on the boat trip (extra charge) all really good to the point I went and bought an annual membership.
The cafe is expensive, the staff were great, friendly and helpful but sandwiches cost more than at a motorway services, next time I will take some with us (knew they would be on the expensive side but not quite that much).
Coffee was Ok amd reasonably prices though, worth getting it in a takeaway cup even if staying in the cafe as the size was bigger but same price.
Definitely worth a visit.
It got busier in the afternoon but certainly didnt feel crowded at any point and the kids loved it although they were shattered once home.

68 Liverpool Rd N, Burscough, OrmskirkWe ate 2 pizzas. 2pizzas for 20£ is pretty good. Then with the added 3£ for fries, that gives you a good lazy dinner.
Open on Easter Monday, they still made food even when Tesco's was closed.

The Old Packet House
29 Liverpool Rd N, Burscough, OrmskirkMy favourite pub in Burscough, I come in here 3 or 4 times a week for a pint and a game of pool and I am treated like family.Lisa and Ian have done a fantastic job at building a great atmosphere that is welcoming to everyone. The staff are a credit, always know how to have a laugh. The beer is great, as is the music. It’s the place to be.Thank you for providing a great, affordable, family friendly pub.See you Thursday for the quiz.
