We stayed overnight for our wedding anniversary and were just absolutely amazed by the whole experience. Lovely staff, every single one, from being made to feel so welcome on arrival to chatting along with them all. Every one was so helpful and friendly. Beautiful room with everything we needed for our stay. The grounds are gorgeous to have a walk around and it was really interesting to see the kitchen garden where they grow all their own vegetables and herbs. As for the dining experience, there are no words to describe just how totally fabulous this was. We were invited to a light afternoon tea in the early afternoon, then another invite for pre-dinner snacks and drinks before the main meal. The level of expertise every single staff member has is just incredible. The variety and quality of every one of the many courses is amazing. A totally wonderful culinary experience, followed the next morning at breakfast which again was fabulous. Altogether, a truly wonderful stay and we’re already looking forward to a return visit. Thank you to everyone at Moor Hall.

Myself and three friends had a casual lunch mid week. I had been several times since the Kicking Donkey re opened after the pandemic but for my friends it was their first visit. Lunch was good. Plenty of selection at a reasonable price. We all enjoyed it. We did have a lovely waitress who was new and admitted it was her first job. Well done. However, when we were served our teas and coffee we weren't provided with saucers for our cups and we're told you didn't have any! Please can you buy some saucers. So important. It's not so bad if the hot drinks are served mugs.See you soon.

Had a perfect evening at the Fat Italian. Outstanding food, excellent service and reasonable prices! Six of us enjoyed a 3 course meal, with wines, sides and Prosecco and it worked out about £43 per head! We'll be back!The one problem with Italian food: three days later, you're hungry again.Parking: Large rear car park, fits about 40 cars. Recommend arriving early.Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome and catered for. There are always families with young children. Great family atmosphere in the early evening.Wheelchair accessibility: Both entrances are wheelchair accessible.

A lovely Michelin star restaurant in a great countryside location. The first time we have visited and we had a wonderful evening. The service was friendly and professional, the decor was nice and the food was incredible. I was surprised I haven’t heard of so-lo until now but we will be visiting again soon.

A great traditional pub and restaurant with delicious food, polite and friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We had a wonderful meal on New Years Eve with live music to entertain us throughout the evening. I had calamari, monk fish tails and a cheese board with a nice bottle of wine and a few single Malts. Such a little gem of a place to visit. The site has a number of independent shops, cafes, chocolate shop, book shop, photographic studio and art gallery. They also have a small farm where you can stroke goats, sheep. A lovely day out!

Just popped in to this wonderful cafe and spoilt ourselves with an Afternoon Tea….Soup, sandwiches, scones and cakes!! Absolutely fantastic and needed a cake box to take home what we couldn’t eat!!
