13 Whalley Rd, Great Harwood, BlackburnThe meal was for a 8th birthday, we were pushing it a bit and got there five minutes later but the other half of the group were 1/2 hour late, obviously not off to a great start. \nThe staff were poised waiting to go expecting a party of eight to be ordered and underway, I’ve no doubt it cocks up your planning but they were very good about it and didn’t say anything as I may have done if f been the proprietor. \nAnyway when they finally turned up we got underway with some beautiful garlic bread, Mexicana, nice and fiery to warm you up. Due to the lack of decent beer most Italians stick to the lager, I went on the red wine, a rather nice Shiraz I might add, so much so we went for three bottles between us. \nThe children all had spag bol, I went for arabiatta which was a lovely tasty sauce but a bit heavy on the salami for me. Somebody had pizza , one of the chicken dishes , we had ribs and Brie for some of the starters too all went down very well with some of the leftovers boxed up for taking away. \nThere were 4 children , one a baby very quiet and peaceful the other three were pretty raucous and not great for some of the other guests who were out for a quiet meal. We did move into the reception area for coffees and ice creams for the little ones but even in there I felt we were in the way of people trying to get to the loo. Nothing was said by the staff whatever they might have thought, the main chap on front of house was great all night brought the birthday cake out and sang along with us. \nAll round the night was great success mainly due to the patience and diligence of a great team of staff who we were a real pain for and I thank them for that.

Dough balls are hit and miss as to either a massive amount of garlic butter (the only way) or barely any at all - there's no inbetween... but otherwise never had an issue with food from here :)

The chai guys, 108 Queen St, Great Harwood, BlackburnAbsolutely lovely 20/10 got a regular mixed kebab on chips they upgraded to a large for free the delivery driver bet me I couldn’t finish it all it was too good not to finish absolutely lovely food cooked properly taste bang on?

The order was ready exactly when they said it would be, which is always a good start. I had the Chicken Biryani — it was full of flavour, very tasty, and the portion size was generous enough for two people. Will definitely be ordering again!

15 Blackburn Rd, Great Harwood, BlackburnAlthough I personally think it should open a bit earlier, that’s just my opinion. I popped in for breakfast and was warmly welcomed by the staff. It wasn’t particularly busy at the time, but it was clear they have a loyal crowd – and I can see why. The food was excellent, the place was clean and tidy, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I really enjoyed watching the world go by through the windows as I eased into the day. A great start to my morning, all in all. I’ll definitely be returning – and if you haven’t been yet, it’s well worth a visit.

Alongside your typical pub grub favourites you can sample some very tasty Spanish/Mediterranean dishes and the garlic bread is absolutely to die for… ?\nThe pub offers family favourites such as pool, darts and televised sports, a friendly bar area and a cute restaurant set up. It’s clean tidy with attentive and friendly staff, customer service is an actual thing here. .Whether you’re a local or just visiting the area I fully recommend a visit. Happy days all round. ☺️?

Tesco Cafe
85 Queen St, Great Harwood, BlackburnCall into this cafe after finishing our shopping, and once again the food and service were very good. I had a full breakfast, which consisted of: 2 hash Browns, 2 bacon, 2 toast, sausage, fried egg and baked beans. My wife just fancied chips and gravy and her sister had the cheese and spring onions toasty, all very tasty. Enjoy
