Good coffee and tea. Hubby wanted a pork pie he had seen on Facebook page. All sold but we're told more were in the oven so waited for them to be cooked. Took longer than told they would be but we were happy sitting on the outside benches. Have to say the pork pies we're worth the wait. Hubby says The Best. We are a 45 minute drive away but will be going back .

Primrose Hill Nurseries
Asmall Ln, Scarisbrick, OrmskirkPurchased some plants from here today, along with a cup of coffee in the cafe, plants where really well priced and very healthy, coffee was also well priced and very nice in a great environment, we will return without doubt.

The Saracens Head
100 Summerwood Ln, Halsall, Ormskirkhadn't booked but found us a table, we both ordered fish & chips which were fabulous, freshly cooked with chips to die for. proper home cooked chips, with crispy bits. nom. staff were lovely, attentive but not in your face. nothing was too much trouble. definitely going back very soon. gem of a place.
oh and the cherry on the icing on the cake - it's on the canalside so thirty second walk to car park revealed ducks swimming in canal, nothing makes me smile more than seeing some ducks.
