Unfortunately the only downside to our evening was listening to the miserable cow on the table next to us moan because they’d run out of beef roasts at 7.15pm on a Sunday! Honestly felt so sorry for our waitress, but she dealt with it like a pro, in the friendliest manner possible, I’m not sure I would’ve had the same patience. 20 minutes this woman gave her a hard time because she ‘ could’ve made a chicken roast at home’. First world problems! Anyway…. Food was gorgeous, I really enjoyed the last beef roast dinner. Would highly recommend this place.”
Pubs • “We love it at the Hesketh Arms. We live within walking distance and they always look after us . It’s our favourite place to have lunch or dinner and in our opinion one of the best pub restaurants we’ve ever visited . Wonderful staff , fantastic atmosphere, excellent food , extremely well run and we are very fortunate to have this amazing place on our doorstep . Highly recommend! Ryan P.”
Pubs • “Perhaps not the best time for a great atmosphere (17:30) those who are drinking are soaking up the last ☀️in the beer garden. Added to this - the newly crowned young pub chef of the year is away on his hols in ??. The ale nevertheless is great - a choice of 3 on cask.”

Pubs • “Called in last week for a coffee and decided to have lunch. They were short staffed and couldn’t serve food outside with was understandable. We had our dog with us and we were seated in a lovely dining room inside. Food was good and reasonably priced too. Will be back.”

“We called in a bit late one evening whilst on holiday hoping they would still be serving dinner. They were. The service was excellent as was the food. As a result, we booked in for Sunday lunch. Again, the service and food were amazing, there is an option for a small Sunday roast, which was ideal for my wife, plenty to eat but no left overs which saved me being stuffed from finishing her food, but did disappoint our dogs who were waiting patiently for the usual treats. Such a great place to eat, and dog friendly too.”
