We have been going to the royal for years but the presence of a landlady that truly cares about the pub and the community is very refreshing. Annabelle in particular is made the pub, very welcoming and she would be a major loss. We are not locals but we have been made feel like we are. We will be back again for the great beer and pub atmosphere.
We had afternoon tea at the royal thursday of last week..we were very well looked after staff were very pleasant & couldn't do enough sandwiches were delicious & a good choice of fillings , & all different kinds of cakes..& washed it down with a nice glass of fizz..

Local hotel and bar, the house made pies are fantastic but all the food is very nice and a good selection of beers and a good outside drinking eating garden with a under cover option and the staff are very friendly and helpful, all in all a great place to stay and visit.
