How did i like the George Washington?Not sure, when we got there it was closed.Village pub. They don't open til 4 nowadays.Sign of the bad times we are now living in.

The room was lovely. Shower a bit small in the en suite but otherwise tip top. I was worried about being over a pub but needn’t have been. Good night’s sleep and no trouble at all. Hospitality ok. A bit stilted and not overly welcoming on arrival and service at breakfast was a bit high and mighty but still decent enough. Note the door into the bar for breakfast isn’t locked, despite looking like it is. Why they don’t just open it I don’t know but I could tell I was considered thick for not knowing this. Breakfast itself was excellent. However note you only have a 30 minute window (8.30-9.00) to take it and it’s the full English or nothing (apart from cereals). Not even a choice of eggs. Not a problem for us but best be aware of this. Quality of ingredients was excellent as was the cooking. Price was decent too. Overall very good.

Warm friendly pub, with a good selection of ales and wine. The food was superb can’t fault the other than the Lemon cheese cake took an hammering, I was too late ? lol.The only negative was not too bad. It’s a dog friendly pub seems all the locals are dog lovers ?. All the dogs were well behaved ?

Fabulous old coach house pub smack in the village. Beautiful and clean inside, very traditional with a good arrange of drinks. The food is top end at a reasonable price. This place is the best out of the three pubs in the area. A must visit.... and return.

Loved this pub. Have stayed at many pubs over the years and often regretted it as they can be unloved or grubby or tired. Not this one; spotlessly clean, light room and surprisingly large too. Super-comfy, big bed. Clean, pleasant bathroom with nice shower. Hospitable, welcoming hosts (in a suitably understated Lancashire style of course). Lovely cooked breakfast, nice coffee. And the real ale was all excellent as well. Many thanks, I wish there were more places like this.

Our visits to the lovely Warton led us towards a stunning pub this one, we where we were served by a young lady called Hannah she was very accommodating and greeted us with a smile would recommend. Xxx

Was passing through Carnforth and came upon this pub in a nearby lovely little village. Stopped and asked if they did food. It was curry night and they managed to fit us in. Lovely pub with blazing log fire very welcome we had been freezing exploring Lancaster all day! The curry was gorgeous better than ive had in an induan restaurant. I had a lovely vegetarian one from a choice of two. Nice ales and very reasonably priced.
