We have been to the Hollybush on multiple occasions and have never had anything but great service and food. Their new menu is lovely with plenty of choice and cooked to the same high standards we have come to expect. Dan is one of the best chefs out there and there and certainly makes the Hollybush a very worthwhile place to eat. Not much choice but when the pie is so delicious who needs choice? Steak &Ale - crumbly short pastry, tender chunks of steak, lashings of rich gravy. Mmmmm ??? Great ale - Cornish Proper Job. The young barman and his waitress sister worked their socks off, were cheerful and efficient. Bloomin fantastic - well done, thoroughly enjoyed the evening!
I visited recently with family for dinner, we go every month somewhere new. This is the only place we have been to where we will be booking again for sure!! From the friendly welcome, to the delicious food they have so got it sorted. The only constructive points I could make is, the tarter sauce with the fish & chips to be in a small side pot, instead of being placed directly on the plate, and better presentation of the desserts.
