It's so good to have this pub as a local. There are plenty of plaudits on here about the food and beer etc. and it's all true. This is more than a pub though. It's a community hub and reflects Alan and Sarah's warmth, enthusiasm and altruism. A number of interest groups have made it their base and they certainly know how to entertain. A visit to the Black Horse is more than going out for a drink, it's being part of something bigger.
We called in to what we hope will be our local pub when we move into the village.When we walked through the door it was very cosy where the staff were very helpful and made us very welcome.For entertainment you could not fault them.Lots to do and enjoy, especially over this festive season.We did not have time to try the food but we have it from family who have eaten there, the food was very good.

Walked into lounge area roaring open fire and great atmosphere. One of the bar staff was extremely rude and ignorant. Others were all great. We'd hired the bowling room for the afternoon which was all lovely and warm for us. The BBQ food was set up in a small cabin and was amazing. Fantastic day. We like real ale good selection of that too. Highly recommended
