Extremely hospitable landlord Ben and landlady Sheldon! We visited the Cricketers for a drink prior to the Tom Jones concert, so it was very busy indeed. However landlord Ben served us with a friendly smile and still made the effort to make pleasant chit chat with myself and my husband.After walking out of the concert because of the ridiculous queue time of over an hour to get a drink, we decided to return to the Cricketers for a drink to decide on our next steps. Parked nearby and had a beer here prior to Leicester City v Newcastle United. Popular with locals, there's was a choice of 2 real ales. 10 - 15 minute walk to the football stadium, 20 - 25 to Leicester tigers and 1 minute walk to grace road cricket ground. I will visit again on my next trip to Leicester.

I play pool for the cricks Thursday night our team members don't usually drink at this pub but we're welcomed with open arms by both Sheldi and Ben the landlords. Karaoke is also in play on a Thursday night in the lounge which makes for quite some lively night??
