Brilliant place, will definitely go

Good-quality food, cooked with subtlety and nuance. The natural taste of the excellent ingredients is allowed to shine.

Just met up for one drink before a stag do, but what a lovely pub, would definitely recommend.

I’ve been a big fan of Curzon Arms before now and yesterday it was my recommendation to go here to a group of people that have never been before other than 1. I was left embarrassed that they only had a limited Sunday menu where before when I’ve been they’ve had the Sunday menu and main menu. This left two people with eating disorders with very little to choose from. The staff didn’t seem very accommodating and the lack of menu choices and then a lot of things being unavailable has left a bad taste in my mouth and many of the people I introduced probably will never visit again.

Fantastic meal after a walk around Outwoods. Pie of the day was the stand out dish in our group.

8 of us went for Christmas Day lunch and were very excited. 1st impression of the table and room was a bit disappointing as it didn't feel very festive. There was no decoration or table centrepiece and no crackers on the table.Starters were delicious, but the main course came plated with 2 slices of turkey wrapped around stuffing, 2 roast pots, 2 slices of roast carrot, and a little other veg. I asked if they were bringing out more veg, but they said it was plated up and there would not be any extra veg. No brussel sprouts either!. Desserts were delicious, but then we waited more than 30 minutes and eventually asked for the plates to be taken away so we could have the cheese and biscuits. After we had finished we waited another half an hour and again had to ask for them to take our plates, as included in the price was tea/coffee and mince pies. They apologetically advised us that there was no milk or oat milk for the hot drinks, which was really disappointing. They did offer soya milk, but we said we'd leave it (and have a decent coffee at home with real milk). They boxed up our mince pies but only gave us 4, so we had to ask for the other 4 so we'd actually got 1 each.I feel that although the food was tasty, the lack of Christmas atmosphere and the service was disappointing for the £95 per adult that we paid. I feel that they probably didn't have enough staff serving. I only saw 2 in the dining room we ate in but there may have been more serving in the pub.We have eaten here quite a few times in the past and have always been really impressed with the food and service which is why we chose to book here, but we definitely won't book Christmas Day lunch here again.

One of the best Sunday lunches we have had. Meat was plentiful and delicious. Cosy, welcoming pub. Live fire Staff were friendly and helpful. Made our meal extra special Thank you

First visit since being taken over by the pub chain red cat and sadly the standards have dropped massively. Not only is the menu now more like your stereo typical pub chain menu but following the food order we waited nearly an hour for our food with no communication from staff, when the food did arrive it was very poor, all the meals had issues from a pie that had clearly been sitting under a heater for 30 mins meaning the pastry was overcooked and tough to potatoes that were unbelievably salty, almost inedible. The somewhat saving grace, following speaking to the manager the food was removed from the bill.Probably won’t return, sad given how great the food was pre takeover.

Evening meal to celebrate sons birthday. No heating even after asking twice for it to be put on . V limited menu. Fish as in fish and chips was not good , I had the sausage dish , sausages overcooked . My daughter in law ordered apple and blackberry crumble which we sent back as it was stewed apple with museli / granola on top . I didn't think you could go wrong with a crumble .

A warm welcome and great service from friendly and helpful staff. Menu was ok but felt it to be more limited and a couple of main course options were not available which was a shame. Meals arrived in good time and were enjoyed. Treats for the dog were a nice touch. Good selection of wines, spirits and beers (well kept mild). Will be back.

Great village pub for a family lunch between Christmas and New Year. Good food, friendly service and lively atmosphere

Quaint country pub with small restaurant, very atmospheric, in the lovely village of Woodhouse Eaves. My husband and I had our Christmas Day lunch there and it was superb. The food was absolutely amazing. We both had a salmon starter followed by traditional turkey dinner and Christmas pud. Every aspect of the meal was first class, the food, the service and the atmosphere generally, we couldn’t fault it. Over the years we have been to the Curzon Arms many times and it has never failed to deliver. We would just like to thank everyone who made our visit special. Thank you ?
