Lovely place, staff very friendly and cheerful, food was brilliant the only thing is it was the first time we'd been and even though we were impressed with the food and service it would have been better if they provided a gluten free menu and also more choice of soft food such as shepherds pie for someone who for some reason can't have solid food, but apart from that really enjoyed ?

The Bulls Head is in our top 5 of places to eat but on this occasion it failed to live up to previous experiences. Gone are the chunks of rustic breads replaced with sliced loaf, the fish was poor in contrast to other nice white pieces. No tartare sauce and a drier portion of the minted peas. As we selected our dessert a number of the flavoured ice creams that accompanied the desserts were unavailable and then when we ordered coconut it tasted of rum. To tap it all when the special offer was taken off the starter was not deducted and has remained on the paid bill

Amazing Mother’s DayWe arrived at our given time expecting to wait a while as we knew it would be busy on Mother’s Day. Our table was ready on time, and we were shown to it by very friendly host. I cannot fault any part of our experience my mother, wife and 2 children thoroughly enjoyed our time.Service was second to none, incredibly friendly and we were never rushed at any point. Considering how many covers they would have had all food was served together and was delicious. We spent two and half hours eating drinking and having fun. Well done the whole team !!!

Went here for dinner as we were visiting our granddaughter who is studying at Loughborough university. The food was really excellent and the service was very good. They would have got 5 stars but the bar as you enter the pub doesn't really have any service but there was no sign requesting you use the main bar around the corner. That said I would recommend The Old Bulls Head to anyone and we will certainly be returning there on our next visit to Loughborough.
