“We went after an afternoon on the near by race track for our sons 16th birthday. The food was nice but small portions and over priced in my opinion. So much so, I wouldn't go back which is a shame as the place is lovely, clean and the staff are attentive.
For our sons birthday dessert they put a candle in his brownie but wrote Happy Birtday instead of birthday on the plate which was a bit disappointing especially seems it seemed to also have been written by a child. It was a lovely gesture but with no actual effort put into doing it”

“Whilst visiting The John Taylor foundry in the town, we needed somewhere to have a drink and lunch. This pub is an exceptional. . From booking to paying they are to be commended on the excellent manner in dealing with large orders without fuss. Samantha and her staff looked after our group. No one was dissatisfied or felt left out and the quality and quantity of the food I believe could not be matched anywhere. Fantastic great job.

“Iv eaten here b4 and is allways nice but tonight was disappointing our meals come and they had made wrong 1 then 10 minutes late came bk but my steak was still mooing even thpw id asked medium well done and my chips were cold and sauce i had blue cheese and mushroom had obviously been chucked on and i think this was because they got wrongmeals 1st time. Also every table was havi g there cutlery set out and napkins but we had to collect ours. So my steak was took home for the dogsx Was gutted as id brought my daughter for food x”

“Well, we’re currently in here for the first time for food & WOW!! What great value & what a great mixture of a menu. Personally I took a gamble on a king prawn PHO. Not really sure what I was getting but it was lovely. I’ve been served by three different staff & everyone a pleasure & a smile. Now tasting the great variety of beers. Currently sitting with a great Vixen!!”
