“We're a family of five, popped in for a mid-week lunch stopover on a longer journey on the A5. Warm welcome, excellent food and great environment. Couldn't fault it!”

“Very friendly and welcoming service which made us enjoy our meal even more. Tasty and freshly prepared food and, even though we had meat, lots of veggie and vegan options. Delicious frangipane dessert. Very much worth a little detour off the M1.”

“I visit here regularly with friends and it is the PERFECT spot. A truely unique cafe and garden centre with a range of home amd garden items to purchase. Items that I have never seen anywhere else. The prices are reasonable and staff are friendly.
They offer a wide range of gluten free cakes which are just delicious! I always tend to opt for the chocolate and ginger flapjack! Plenty of seating indoor and outdoors.
Lots of parking on site which is helpful and good for those in wheelchairs.”

“Lovely food and at a great price.
I would just like to say they need to serve the pate in more of an eye pleasing manner as it really put me off the starter! The panna cotta could do with tweaking but overall very nice meal !”

“Just got back from Tuesday’s carvery at the Crown. Gilmorton. Whilst I’m generally not a fan of carvery food I can not fault it. Staff were efficient and friendly roast beef with more than enough sides was perfect. Pedigree ale went down a treat so definitely a 5 from me and our party of 4”

“Having found this restaurant which was in between Leicester and Northampton so easy access for both parties we were delighted with our meal yesterday for my birthday. We arrived at six and were seated instantly lots and lots to choose from on the menu. The food was absolutely amazing I’ve never tasted such lovely delicious dishes. The waitresses were very, very attentive and looked after us during our visit. We will certainly be back on another momentous occasion with family. Well worth a visit inside and outside is beautiful”

“I came for lunch with my family the other day and the food was great, good portions, very large and the price was fair. Also the lady behind the bar who was also doing everything else was lovely, polite and friendly. Definitely recommend”

“Lovely restaurant, greeted by host Steve and served by the lovely and helpful Amelia.
My partner had the duck fat toast and portobello mushrooms and crispy egg, followed by the beef, I can't manage a main after a starter so I had 2 starters instead, the leak and potato soup and the king scallops, black pudding and garlic mash, the dessert we both have and recommend is the liquorice panacotta, all gorgeous. As was the red wine! We will be returning shortly!”
