Very cold and a lot of people wearing coats, nearly left as not the best to sit in your coat to eat. Maybe light the fire or turn the heating up a bit. Lovely food.

At last I found a pub with a real Menu, Not the stereo typical pre made ready wrapped garbage, that all the main chains are using. As with fresh made food there is a wait time, very understandable, You only get what you pay for and boy it was worth the wait, Just the fact that there was a choice on the menu for me was amazing, I eat out a lot and only ever order 3 starters as my main meal. Their menu has typical meals and snacks, which are not served anymore in the mainstream chains. Recommended, I will be going over to eat once a month minimal

We booked a table.We could tell it had been busy, lots of people were leaving after their Sunday lunch.Extensive menu. Roast dinner available I think until 20.00 on Sunday.Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff.Pleased we called in.

We've been coming here for family meals for at least 10 years and its always been a guaranteed hearty meal. Today unfortunately was not. The last few trips here weve noticed a steady decline in quality and increase in price. Our latest visit resulted in an outright argument from the waitress (arguing that a stale defrosted roll was actually a ciabatta) the staff were utterly rude and unhelpful, offering an alternive meal at a wait of 1 hour. No hospitality or consideration given at all. We will not be returning.
Food was bland and not as advertised on the menu. Ordinary bread rolls, not ciabatta, garlic mushrooms tasteless and on plain bread instead of ciabatta, chicken dry and chips dry. 'Manager' said that we had ordered from an old menu (which was the only one available) and her only other comment was that she could take the food away. What would we have done then? Will not be back.
