Mihai Dragomir is a fantastic chef, a great asset for the Attic! We had the tasting menu, as in a Michellin star rated restaurant, using great ingredients like duck brest, fresh fish , seaweed and otger amazing stuff, he managed to put together an amazing menu. Thank you!

We ate in the golf clubhouse - the actual restaurant is upstairs but wasn't open on the day of our visit. Nevertheless the food was excellent (out of the same kitchen) and the staff friendly. The weather wasn't great (wet and windy) but we have been there when the sun was shining and the views are good.Overall, good food in pleasant surroundings served by friendly staff. What's not to like?Parking: Ample parking when we visited but it was an awful day weather-wise so there weren't many golfers out (it's part of a golf club).

Nice surroundings, the food, on the whole was fairly good if a little pretentious. I really enjoyed my starter, which alas was the high point of the meal. My main, a beef dish was cooked very well, it was very tasty too, but for some reason there was nowhere near enough gravy with it, barely a drizzle, so towards the end the food became very dry, making the dish very hard to finish. Unfortunately my dessert dish had not been rinsed properly, it had that unpleasant dishwasher odour to it, this obviously totally ruined the dessert for me.These were small attentions to detail, but they could have easily been rectified, with just a little more thought and care taken. Then this meal could have easily been a very different and enjoyable experience.

We just popped in after watching Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat at Kilworth and found the whole experience brilliant. The food, the service and surroundings. Above the Golf club, The Attic has a large terrace and lovely furnishings. We started with a lovely selection of very tasty, just baked breads and generous portion of butter and oil. I had the pan seared mackeral for a starter, salmon, chorizo with fondant potatoes and veg for main and lemon meringue for desert....all extremely tasty and the service was spot on. My fiancé had the veg Wellington which was great. Two courses at £16 and three at £19 is great value. Thoroughly recommend and will be back to try the other dishes on the menu.

I would recommend the Attic for the food quality ..however today we had a very disappointing Sunday Lunch experience as we had to be seated in the main golf club as the attic restaurant was being used for a function The food was lovely but the ambiance and atmosphere not the same and it was very noisy , we where unable to hold a conversation .....We should have been told at the time of booking that the main restaurant was booked for a function and that we would be accommodated downstairs..... I would not have booked as we were entertaining friends and wanted to have a relaxed lunch together not one that we were shouting at each other to be heard ...will think carefully about returning

A real hidden gem. Fantastic service and wonderful food. I could have happily eaten every item on the menu, the hardest part was choosing for each course. The view over the golf course was a fab setting for an autumn evening.
