First but not last visit to the cherry tree , very friendly staff , small pub with views for miles over countryside, but that fire was something else ? needed on a cold windy day. Beers were tasty ??with a locally brewed one on tap too ? food was delicious and freshly made and to top it all off ... free cake ? in a cake making competition ? blown away ???

Fabulous fayre at this renovated historical pub. Food to suit everyone with both vegetarians and people needing gluten-free in our group - oh and yes the dog enjoyed the dog menu too! Real ale brewed in the village and in the county. Great attentive service and the value was great for what was on offer next to a warming open fire! Please pay a visit - what's not to like!?

We live locally and had been to the Cherry Tree a few times for drinks or lunch and always found it to be really good. With my husband 40th birthday around the corner I decided to enquire about the possibility of hosting it at The Cherry Tree and it did not disappoint. From my first enquiry Amy and Chris were brilliant, so we decided to go ahead. Amy was very patient and answered all my questions (and I asked a lot) we decided on the hot and cold buffet. The pub was closed for the party so it was just us and our guests which made us feel very special. The food that Amy cooked was fabulous and it made for a lovely relaxed evening, which was enjoyed by all. All the little details like the little menus for guests really added a lovely touch. So many people said they would be back and we most certainly will. A massive thank you to Amy and Chris. I would highly recommendThe Cherry Tree for private function or for a drink and a bite to eat ❤️

Lovely village pub and enjoyed several great meals here too.

Always love the service and atmosphere in here. Not a chain. Well chosen beers pumped from a proper beer cellar and an excellent menu of food that's cooked to order and there's something good for everyone whether you like meat, fully vegan or something in between.

We visited yesterday for a late lunch after arriving at our Airbnb nearby. The pub had such a lovely feel to it immediately. The landlord who greeted us was very friendly and we had a good chat about their produce. A lot of it is locally grown and freshly harvested. Their menu is often changed to reflect the produce they are able to get. The taste of the vegetables was amazing and you could really tell the difference from the norm. We could have ate a whole plate of veg and been very satisfied it was that good (and we love meat!). The shepherd's pie we had was beautiful. I would highly recommend this place!!

We'd been meaning to try this pub for months and were not disappointed. They have very good interesting home-cooked food, an excellent choice of local beers and a friendly landlord. We will definitely be visiting again!

The food was excellent and a very friendly pub. My only criticism is that “ my host” should have been more proactive. We were on the terrace, a lovely spot. However we weren’t offered another drink or even a dessert when the plates were cleared. . Sales could have been so much better. If the expectation is that we would need to go back inside to order extras a notice would have been sufficient. Having said that I would definitely go back as the food was so good. This is submitted purely as constructive feedback and not tended to be negative

An utterly charming country pub. With good beers and excellent food. You can be sure of a warm welcome. There is even food for your dog on the menu.

Found this place via a friend liking on Facebook so decided to give it a try. I am really glad I did as the hospitality and food are fabulous. All freshly prepared and delicious ?. I had the “Best of British” aka a Ploughmans and as I can’t eat cheese they kindly offered me a choice of other things and I settled for olives. The car park looks a little tight but don’t be deceived as the lady inside said it can accommodate a Transit Van, I’ll know next time ?. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed ?
