“If you enjoy well presented, excellent pub grub this is the place to go. It's a family run pub with lovely staff. The food was perfectly cooked with delicious ice cream for dessert. I would definitely recommend The Stilton Cheese Inn.”

“Call me a leprechaun and get me a pot because ive found gold. What a pub! Every village pub has its uniquity but this one has knocked them out the park. Inside a stunning building is one of the friendliest places ive been to.
The staff (Chloe in particular) were so welcoming they made mother Teresa look like Pol Pot.
I have no doubt this pub has been around for 2 millenia, because if jesus was to have a ‘last supper’ it mustve been here. The chefs worked a miracle in that kitchen. If my girlfriend wasnt there to tell me off for bad manners i wouldve licked the plate clean.
Every local to Waltham on the Wolds should feel privileged to have this at your doorstep.

We decided to give a go and visit Rose & Crown under the new management.

We ordered massanan curry and burgers, including gluten free burger. The food was served in timely manner and the portions were very generous. The burgers were really nice, same as curry.

The place offers also pizza (gluten free option available) and other pub meals (fish&chips, pie of the day, etc.). Reasonable prices.
Good selection of beers and wines.

The staff were really welcoming and nice, very helpful and made us very comfortable.

It was nice to see local people coming to the pub, as this pub definitely has a good local pub athomsphere and it was full on Thursday night.”

“Great food at very reasonable prices, all cooked to order. I had the steak pie, which was just like my mother used to make. A bit quiet when we were there, but it was early on a Tuesday evening so I would expect it to get busier later in the week.”

“Delicious food & fabulous service. Despite there being a queue, once we had ordered we were only sat down about 5 minutes before the food was served. We had an all day breakfast & a smoked salmon/prawn salad. Portions were very generous & price was very reasonable”
