A friend and I meet here periodically as the mid-point, more-or-less between our respective houses. We like it a lot. Nice vibe & nice (well kept) beer selection. We reside in the bar which is tiny with low ceilings and head bump hazards everywhere, making for an intimate and cosy atmosphere. It really is very quaint. Popped in at lunch time and were lucky to be offered a table as it seemed to be a busy Saturday afternoon. Service was lovely and friendly . Great choice of drinks and food and were spoiled for choice . My husband opted for the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection and great quality meat. I had a lovely piece of salmon which was very generous and again cooked to perfection. All served with a wonderful selection of potatoes , chips and salad . The best quality abuse coupled with humour you’re likely to hear from a professional barman ever he knows the name of every person in the bar I may call in every now and then but always makes me feel like I’m a local. Cheers Mark.
