Main St, Baston, PeterboroughWe are staying in Baston Fen for a week on a near by camp site and wanted somewhere for Sunday lunch. After reading the reviews on google decided to give the Black Horse a try. It didn’t disappoint, the carvery was second to none and as for the staff very attentive and helpful. Wish we lived nearer as this would be our choice every time.

The White Horse - Baston
4 Church St, Baston, PeterboroughBooked this for our Annual Family Christmas lunch. We were shown to the room upstairs. There were 10 of us including a 4 Yr old and a 1 Yr old so this was just perfect. The children were able to make as much noise as they wanted and we didn't need to tell them to sit down as there were no people in the room for them to upset. The food was really lovely including the children's menu. Most of us had the Roast Pork which was very tasty. My only complaint would be no crackling!!!! The staff were very attentive but also knew when to leave us to ourselves. We were not rushed and were able to stay upstairs for as long as we wanted. A really fantastic family gathering.
