Main St, Baston, PeterboroughI met a friend in this lovely village pub. Very clean, staff friendly. Food very tasty. We both had a fish finger sandwich. Good portion size, served hot with a few chips and salad. We both had a dessert, mine was cheesecake, tasty, however the cream that accompanied it was very sweet, that was left. My friend had the waffles, she said they were tasty, it was a large portion and beat her as it again was too sweet to finish. Just personal preferences. Would recommend A *

The White Horse - Baston
4 Church St, Baston, PeterboroughBooked this for our Annual Family Christmas lunch. We were shown to the room upstairs. There were 10 of us including a 4 Yr old and a 1 Yr old so this was just perfect. The children were able to make as much noise as they wanted and we didn't need to tell them to sit down as there were no people in the room for them to upset. The food was really lovely including the children's menu. Most of us had the Roast Pork which was very tasty. My only complaint would be no crackling!!!! The staff were very attentive but also knew when to leave us to ourselves. We were not rushed and were able to stay upstairs for as long as we wanted. A really fantastic family gathering.
