Went for a pre booked meal with friends. Huge queue at the bar and only one person serving; a bit of a wait but it was a warm evening and a little busy. Eventually shown to our table. Lovely, pleasant waitress who took our order in good time. A bit of a wait again but no problem. Good first courses. Second course was reasonable for our friends but I’d asked for a medium rare steak. It was cremated! Stopped for lunch and had a BLT and a cuppa, very reasonably priced and the sandwich was delish. Definitely a "locals" pub but the staff was warm and friendly and I felt welcome, I will definitely stop for lunch again in the future.

Had afternoon tea today and couldn’t recommend enough. The choice of sandwiches, cakes, buns and scones were incredible. Presentation was lovely and unlimited tea and coffee. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Would highly recommend.
