Credit where credit is due, the chips were great but the battered sausage I had was inedible tasted of old oil and the sausage was covered in gritty oil. Only had a couple of bites of it made me feel ill. Chips are smashing though.
Delighted with our fantastic Fish Supper for 5 on a Friday evening. We were served immediately just waited for more cod to fry. We dashed home to savour our meal. Delicious tasty fish well cooked with great crunchy batter a generous serving of hot freshly fried chips. All we added was our own salt, pepper and good malt vinegar. I don’t know what’s happened to Eagles, used to be the best fish and chip shop in town. Dreadful experience there tonight, 22/9/23. It took 40 minutes to get two cod and a “large” chips. They lost my order, which was the main cause of the delay, and when I eventually got it the portions were pathetically small. Won’t be going back.
