“Our First visit to the George, Friendly welcome on arrival. Well looked after by our waitress . The food was delicious and good value for money . 3 of us had the peppered steak pie which came with mash and one with chunky homemade chips , and a selection of different vegetables. One of our party ordered the Belly pork and she said it was delicious too . Lemon tart and Eton Mess for desert and they didn’t disappoint either . We would certainly be going again . Thank you for a lovely evening.”

“Absolutely fantastic, food cooked to order, arrived piping hot, only waited just under 15 mins for food to arrive, which is perfect.. An absolute gem on a Sunday morning. Beans on toast, poached eggs, black pudding and hash brown, lovely jubbly.. Followed by a chilled out walk along the Trent riverside.. Will definitely be back 100%...”

It's a lovely place in a nice relaxing area.

I had jumbo haddock and chips and mushy peas.

The Mrs had cod.
The flavour was wonderful og the beef dripping .
The meal was excellent. But the mushy peas they was creamy and had a smoke last they was great . The staff was fantastic, the Senior lady who was serving was fantastic and made me feel welcome

“Liz kept telling me how amazing the food is and that their always busy in the pub so finally got round to trying it out for my dads 85th birthday. Lovely little pub, friendly staff and well the food lived up to what was expected. Fish and chips amazing. Daughter loved the veggie chilli. Great evening, thanks.
