Today the students hosted a charity cake sale. The cakes and cheesecake were delicious and at 50p each we bought one of everything and two of the cheesecake as that’s hard to share. I hope they were well supported and raised a healthy sum. On a final note, it’s been great to return to the college after a difficult year for staff and students. This is a real life training restaurant situated at the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education - or the college to locals! Don't let the word training put you off because it's nothing like you would expect. The food is prepared and served by students aided by the teaching staff and surprisingly it does live up to the promotional notes on their website. Great for lunch and evening meals. Excellent food and service with friendly young staff. One member of the party was lactose intolerancent. Alternatives to the menu offered with any hesitation..and one of our party purchased a dessert to take home as she was so impressed. Our servers Oscar and Lambert were excellent
