We visited on Christmas Eve as we were staying in the area. The best Christmas decorations we have ever seen in a pub! We had our 2 dogs with us and although it was very busy we were made to feel very welcome by the locals. We didn’t book but still managed to get a meal in the bar which was very good. Great service from the staff and generally a lovely atmosphere.
We (a party of 12) called in without any advance booking, we were treated with the greatest respect, Jeff is a very professional guy, and did everything to make our visit a memorable occasion, we had 20 dog sausages, (Boston sausage) hand made chips amazing onoin rings, plus 4 portions of fish and chips and various accompanying dishes, cooked to perfection, an enjoyable day, friendly, accommodating, a warm friendly atmosphere,
Decided to take mom somewhere different for her birthday. It was amazing. We was made so welcome buy the landlord and staff. The food was top notch. Thank you for making moms birthday memorible. We will be returning. The christmas decorations were fab too..
