The price was reasonable, well cooked, not soggy and chips well cooked and from the taste it seeme like quality oil. We will return, but not soon as waist lines need watching. Reputation deffinately did not disappoint. Date of post 2023/08/02 from north Peterborough (not a fake review)Parking: Busy parking due to center of village but plenty of spaces.
We really enjoy Linfords. We have been a number of times and it has never disappointed. The fish (cod or plaice) is lovely and the chips are the best we have had from anywhere around Stamford. Price wise I would not call it cheap, but you get what you pay for and in the case of Linfords I would say you get really good quality food. Also, the service is very good. The 2 ladies who served us on Sunday were very pleasant.

Some of the best chippy food in this area. Fish was fresh with beautifully light batter, the southern fried chicken has the tastiest coating (better than kfc)With outstanding chips.
