The Golden Lion runs the best Sunday lunch carvery around here. The covid precautions are well established. There is a choice of 3 meats, or have 2, or all of them. The Yorkshires and roasties lovely and crispy, the accompanying veggies delightful. Need I mention the pudds? All sampled the Sunday before lockdown.
We have been here for Sunday carvery on numerous occasions & found the food to be of a high quality. The Golden Lion is one of the best carveries I have ever been to. The service is great and there is a friendly atmosphere. On this occasion, one of our party had a bit of a turn and was feeling unwell. Lisa, the owner / landlady, could not have been more helpful. I was there for a friend's 40th birthday. The atmosphere was great, nice local pub. The kitchen produced a wonderful spread - chunky chips, a personal favourite. A plethora of gins and mixers - another win for me! The staff were a real team, creating a comfortable vibe. Really helpful ?
