Bar • “Enjoyed a 2 course lunch special today...Steak and Ale pie with a lovely suet pastry top,home made chips with veg and gravy....All piping hot and thoroughly enjoyed....Sweet was toffee apple crumble with ice-cream....once again it went drown a treat....Always a joy eating fresh home cooked meals here.”
Bar • “Reasonably priced pub grub. Staying in nearby Premier inn for work and come here on the nights. Nice atmosphere, plenty of teles and entertainment. The staff here are great too, very friendly and helpful.”

A very welcoming club - dog friendly and a nice beer ? garden out the back - bonus home made savouries for sell baked by a local lady and delicious- landlord very welcoming.A real village pub atmosphere, we enjoyed it very much .”

Bar • “I only popped in on the hope of some food as I was stuck in the village overnight.OMG !!!!! Characters everywhere. I would love this to be my little local. There was laughter inside and outside the pub. I had scampi and the chips were bob on.Landlady was very pleasant and food was quickly served. It wasn't Gordon Ramsey food, it was what pub grub should be, plentiful wholesome and cheap. I hope I get stuck there again as I should have opted for the minted lamb pie. I wish the establishment all the very best”
Bar • “We had missed lunch and were starving so called into the pub before 5 on a Friday. We were initially the only ones in the dining room, but it soon began to fill. Service was extremely attentive and they were very accommodating when we asked for random extras! The food was very tasty with the toddler having chicken goujons, I had the pie and my husband the gammon. All were hot, well proportioned and extremely tasty. Overall, I would recommend and return. 2 courses for 3 people and drinks with sides were about £60 so reasonably priced tooKid-friendliness: There were high chairs available and staff were super nice and accommodating to out toddlerParking: There are a number of parking spaces, but I imagine on a busy night they would fill up quickly. There is free parking on the side of streets close by though”

“Booked for the family this morning, 5 adults, 3 children. Greeted by a wonderful man upon arrival, who served us drinks in the bar as we where a little early and waiting for a couple to arrive.We where shown to our table in the gorgeous restaurant area overlooking the garden. The service was attentive and we where quickly given menus. The most amazing Sunday lunch experience ensued with starters for the adults and the children's food being served at the same time so that we could relax and enjoy. Roast beef and lamb cooked to perfection as where the vegetables, in abundance, with extra gravy and the best freshly cooked yorkshire pudding. Such a special time spent with family and a credit to the staff and the village. We will definitely recommend and be back soon. Thank you❤️”
