We had lunch at Take a Gander today - there is a good choice on the main menu and some lunch time lighter items, but we settled for our favourite fish and chips, with chocolate brownie, and Elton mess for afters! It was all delicious!!!
We had a great lunch at Take a Gander today. There is a good choice from the main menu together with some lighter lunch items, but we all chose fish and chips which were delicious. We also had chocolate brownie, and Elton mess for afters! Take a Gander is under new management, and they have maintained high standards of food and lovely clean surroundings - a great place to have a meal at any time!!

Lovely old pub/restaurant. A bit quiet tonight, but it was only 5pm. My son and myself ordered the Special Fish and Chip meal, the fish was absolutely gorgeous, not sure whether the chips were made from scrap, but they were ok. Peas, mushy peas, what can you say. Other son had the minted lamb pie with mash and peas. He said it was awesome. Will definitely go again.
