We were greeted with a warm welcome and we were made to feel like a regular. I ordered chicken and ribs and my wife ordered steak and ale pie. The kitchen is close by and the smells from the kitchen were Devine. It took a reasonable time to arrive, I dislike places where it’s on the table in 10mins, tells me it’s already cooked and reheated in a microwave, instead this place cooked fresh. Been a while since last visit and won't be as long again. Beautifully cooked Sunday carvery served with a smile. Attentive staff even though very busy. Puddings tasty and plentiful.
What a lovely little gem of a place. We have been visiting Spilsby to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life & had been struggling to find a place serving a decent vegan meal that wasn’t just pasta. After a less than friendly reception at a different pub, we stumbled across this fantastic place and were so glad we did! The gentleman behind the bar couldn’t have been friendlier.
