I was at a wedding everything was good except one of the lifts had broken down so only one in operation with only holding 4 at a time made it a bit awkward to get up and down from ground floor to floor 7
Enjoyed our one night stay at james street room no 28 . As it was a Sunday only £75 for a room with 2 doubles a kitchen and bathroom with jacuzzi ! Yes the room and the building could do with a bit of tlc and a lick of paint ( it is getting a refurb apparently ) but if you want to stay somewhere with history ( home of the titanic ) character and somewhere a bit different as opposed to a modern soulless hotel then try here . Took my mum here for her Birthday afternoon tea on Sunday. I would recommend it - unlimited tea and coffee. Lovely filled sandwiches, beautifully presented tasty cakes plus fruit scone, individual jams and clotted cream. We were stuffed by the end. All for a reasonable price £30 for two. Fantastic views across the Albert Dock and down the estuary from the rooftop.
