These guys have been a staple of the love scene in Liverpool for ages. keV the owner is a diamond, their sound system and set up is brilliant. They support new music and art across the board including management of Smithdown Road Festival, multiple events and community based project. They brew beer and make gin too. They pay well and fairly and anyone who knows the venue know it's a highlight of the cities venues. A Liverpool institution.Parking: Plenty free options. Pub next...read full review

I last visited when this really was a DIY supermarket! They have kept the feel of the old shop while furnishing it with contemporary tables and chairs. The original shopfront window opens to let in the evening sun, giving a pavement cafe vibe. Service at the bar was good and their own nano-brewery bitter was enjoyable.

Good place, and generally good beer selection. Some fridge beers very highly priced though. Just occasionally, they have live bands in the main area, and it's just too noisy (I mean, in the far extreme). Good place though, and the best pub in the area.
