Six of us went for lunch here. Great service and generous portions. The fish, scampi and the puddings were lovely. The burgers were a little disappointing but don't let that put you off.
Stayed here for 4 nights whilst working in the area and was more than happy once checked in. Superb room. Clean, comfortable & spacious. Great shower. The bar and restaurant was a real treat after a long day. Great menu & specials selection and every dish I had for dinner was delicious. Great selection of beers and every member of staff was brilliant. Drove up from Kent to see my 15 year old daughter and we booked for steak night. Food was very good, good atmosphere and the service was excellent.Great value and the staff very friendly. Worth the trip and would definitely recommend this pub.David
