The Service was a 10, the food was genuinely next level.

23 The Thoroughfare, HarlestonWe discovered this pub on way home from Southwold on 12th Jan 2026 and so glad we did. Although they don’t serve food the young lady behind the bar was brilliant. She offered to let us bring in a takeaway and sit and eat it. She then offered detailed advice about the food options in the high street. What a brilliant concept for local businesses to support each other. The Ambersand beer was superb and there are a selection of board games to play. Brilliant.

Church Ln, HarlestonVisited last night as staying at local Airbnb. Lovely pub with real fire kn the bar, staff were very welcoming. Had the burger and loaded fries which were delicious. Nicest burger for a long time

The Broken Egg Cafe
Hill Farm, Redenhall Road, Harleston, NorfolkDriving to the coast, we saw the sign to follow the giant chicken, and thought to stop off.
Pot of tea was great, sausage batches delicious and the chips the star of the show.
Definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch stop.

Crown Inn Pulham Market
Crown Inn, Harleston Rd, Pulham Market, DissAbsolutely lovely country pub on archetypal village Green. We visited for Sunday lunch. Huge portions of well cooked food. The steak and ale pie was fabulous with perfect short pastry and rich gravy. If you manage to have space for dessert be prepared for more huge portions. The interior was spacious with comfy chairs and roaring fires. Dogs welcome. Friendly staff. Recommended.

9 Redenhall Rd, HarlestonWe were staying in Wortwell and didn’t want to eat out, so ordered pizza online. It came few minutes early from a nice friendly delivery man, was hot and tasty..
No it’s not like wood fired oven pizza but it didn’t disappoint and they got the order correct-lots of choice of sauce base & toppings..what more can you ask for.
