Norwich Rd, Thwaite, EyeThis was such a good meal. Standouts: tofu (something that is really hard to cook well) that was reminiscent of bacon. And they aren't afraid of flavours. Meat-and-two-veg cooks often assume veggies are afraid of their taste buds. It's the opposite (I find meat bland). There was a well blended selection on the plate. Service was attentive and friendly without being in your face, and there were a few local bottled beers (which is a sensible approach if you don't have the volume of drinkers to maintain cask). The best meal I had in the UK on this trip. Oh, and also one of the cheapest.

Caféye
14 Broad St, EyeI have been going to Caféye for several years.Whether I'm just grabbing a coffee on a walk or going for food with my boyfriend it's always been great. Prompt service, delicious food and coffee. The staff remember me and always say hi and have a chat. My son also loves to walk there with friends to get an Oreo milkshake. I've recommended Caféye to several people and they have all had a great experience too.

7 Cross St, EyeIn the Queens Head for Sunday lunch, we are locals... food is great but the drinks service does get forgotten, witnessed 2 couples here today who had to get up and go to the bar, as did I, to get drinks.... but a sign of their popularity... overall we love the food as its lovely, just service occasionally could be better...

Eye Fish & Chip Shop
6 Lambseth St, EyeUnreal, love this place. The portions are enormous so one first and chips can serve two people. Batter is nice light and fluffy. Haddock was so tasty and the battered sausage was amazing! Great curry sauce too. Only thing I wish is that they did onion vinegar and took card!

2 Church St, Stradbroke, EyeGreat village pub with superb Waygu burger. Landlord is old school, sarcastic, dry and funny. The pub is warm and cozy with good background music. And the food choices and value are the best in the area. They should team up with FORC to offer dining packages on the talk nights. Loved it.

Staying locally, order arrived even earlier than predicted, pizza was perfect, requested cold drinks in separate bag and they did (many don't care and you get a hot drink), and it was simply delicious!

Pizza House
2 Magdalen St, EyeWe have just moved into Eye and whilst renovating our house we decided to try this place out. We are very impressed with the taste of the food (we had kebabs) it wasn't oily at all which is always good. Only thing was that the chips didn't come with salt and because we are renovating we didn't have any in the house either but this isn't really a problem more down to personal preference.
Lovely food and the two guys behind the counter seemed nice too, I would recommend pre ordering as the waiting area is small and can probably become crowed in busy periods.

Istanbul Kebab House
54 Mere St, DissWe have used this place for over 15 years and despite moving to a different area, we drive over 45 minutes to come here as despite trying others, nowhere comes close to what you get here. The quality of the food is fantastic, the taste is really great and the guys are so friendly.
We will happily continue to make the journey because we know we will never be disappointed! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Needless to say if it had been bad it would have been a tricky start! We were not disappointed by this meal for the family. Great flavours, good prices and quick. Thanks!

1 Sunhouse, market place, ReephamGreat Cheeseburger and chips, really went down well, the only thing letting it down a little bit was the salad in the burger consisted of a couple of bits of lettuce and a few bits of onion. I was expecting some cucumber and tomato more like would have been in a Kebab from the same place, but hey ho it was still a very nice burger.

Bruha Brewing, 4 Progress Way, EyeThis is my go-to brewery. The larger is easy drinking, smooth and is an essential beer in my fridge! Keep up the great work. Looking forward to when the brewery is open on a Friday night!

19 Castle St, EyeWe are currently on a little break and really fancied Chinese, this one is the most local to us and thank goodness it is! We had an absolutely lovely meal! Better than our local Chinese at home (unfortunately for us!)
All the food had loads of lovely flavour, was piping hot, and exactly the sort of takeaway you want! My only 1 small issues is that the salt and pepper chips were a bit dry… but out of the 7 dishes ordered, if that’s your only issue, you’ve found yourself a lovely Chinese takeaway in my opinion!!
Will 100% order from here again when we’re back in the area!

Mavery House, 6 Victoria Rd, DissJust had The Pizza Plus Special chicken and rib combo with fries. Lovely chicken, crisp and not greasy. The ribs were the best tasting I've had from anywhere. Friendly and efficient service and the overall size was too much for me and I'm not little!

I just have to say a huge thank you to everyone at Bury Kebab and Pizza House! The food was absolutely wonderful — so fresh, made with care and love, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous. Every bite was delicious, and it was such excellent value. The delivery driver was lovely and even made me laugh when I had hiccups — such a lovely touch!
